Cake Smash / Birthday Photos

What a year it has been!! This is such a major milestone in your baby’s life. Cake smash / birthday sessions last 1 hour and take place in my home studio located in Camas,WA. We can use one of my existing themes that you see here on my website or we can plan a completely new theme. Themes can be based on colors, a favorite movie, a tv show, a book or just about anything. Let's make it fun! I love to get creative! Birthday sessions can include a cake smash or we can keep it simple and only do portraits of the baby. We can even do a little splash in my little clawfoot tub if desired. If we are doing a cake smash, I like to get in a main set and one simple set during your session. If we are just doing portraits, we can do the main set and two simple sets.

your questions answered

When should I plan a session for my baby's birthday?

We can do photos any time close to your baby's birthday. It can be before, after or even on your baby's birthday. If you would like to have the images for your baby's party, it's best to schedule your session about 3-4 weeks prior to when you need them. If you would like me to create a custom set for you, please book at least 1.5 months in advance since it takes time for me to order materials and create a custom set. I can sometimes create a custom set on shorter notice, just ask.

If I want to do a cake smash do you provide the cake?

I do not provide the cake for a cake smash due to potential allergy concerns. You are more than welcome to bring a cake for your session. It can be really fun to see how the baby will react to their cake. Will they love it? Will they hate it? I love to let the baby smash their cake and then let them splash in my little claw foot tub after the smash.

Do you Provide outfits for the sets?

I have outfits for some of the sets you see on my site. Please inquire if you are interested in one of them. It can also be fun to showcase your own taste and bring outfits for your little one's session.

Can we do a family portrait or Sibling Portrait during the session?

Yes we can! Although the focus of the cake smash/ birthday session is your baby, we can get a few shots of the baby with either the family or sibling(s).
